Is living off of trend trading possible? The dumpy response is yes, but should consider a lot of things before you end the day job.

Another thing to think about is how much time you want to take tracking trends and figuring out how to find good entry and exit points. If you are new, you might have to go to seminars, read books, speak with fellow investors, or locate other information sources. Recent software has enabled those with minimal experience to follow the trends and make good trading decisions. But the software costs money and, of course, learning how to use it takes time. So, that is something else to think about.

Excitement is not the main feature of trend trading. If positive results are sought, then any emotion must be checked at the door. The nerve-wracking thing is watching peaks and valleys daily.

You can identify the length of time to hold a position without selling it. You may be a little insecure about going it without steady job, and that’s no problem. Anyway trend trading is a part time career.
